This stylized arm bracer was created as part of my prop development practice, focusing on material storytelling and surface detailing.
The main goal of this project was to explore layered materials such as painted metal, worn leather straps, and twisted rope elements while maintaining a cohesive and believable look. I paid close attention to roughness variation, edge wear, subtle color breakup, and dirt accumulation to avoid flat surfaces and enhance realism.
The asset was modeled in Maya and textured in Substance Painter using a PBR workflow.
This project helped me improve my understanding of material definition, wear patterns, and presentation lighting.
